On-Site Water & Wastewater Operator
Certification Exam Preparatory Training

If you are interested in scheduling On-Site Water or Wastewater Operator Certification Exam Preparatory Training for certification needs, please check the On-Site Water or Wastewater Operator Certification Exam Preparatory Training box on the inside Registration Form.

This option allows a water or wastewater utility to schedule certification training at their own office or local facility for their employees only or in a joint effort with other local utility employees to reduce time and travel expenses.

Prices per student do not change for On-Site Operator Certification Exam Preparatory Training, but a deposit will be required to confirm your customized course(s). In addition, a maximum number of 15 students for each location will be honored, and a minimum of 10 students is required.

Deposits are as follows:

  • 30 hour course - $2,000.00
  • 60 hour course - $3,250.00
  • 90 hour course - $5,000.00

A deposit will be required as shown above to be applied to the total cost of the course. * Please contact the ARWA for more information.

* Students are responsible for the purchase of the required current edition of the Alabama Water or Wastewater Operator Study Guide. Student parficipation is the responsibility of the employer and/or student. The ARWA is not responsible for student involvement, parlicipation, attendance, or course completion by the student. The ARWA neither implies nor guarantees that any student will pass the State of Alabama Water or Wastewater ABC Cerfification Examination. The ARWA resetves the right to refuse any and all enrollments and the right to terminate enrollment of any student due to lack of participation and/or
conduct.

Enrollment Fees for the courses below are as follows:

  • 30 hour water or wastewater course - $400.00 per student*
  • 60 hour water or wastewater course - $650.00 per student*
  • 90 hour water or wastewater course - $1,100.00 per student*

* Enrollment Fees do not include the cost of a current edition of the Alabama Water or Wastewater Operator Study Guide. Study guide purchase is the responsibility of the student and is required for course participation. Study guides may be purchased online at alruralwater.com/certification or by contacting the ARWA at (334) 396-5511 to receive an order form.

Secondary Water Treatment/Distribution Training Course 30 hrs

Advanced Water Operator Training Course Information (Grades III & IV)

Primary Water Treatment/Distribution Training Course 30 hrs
Secondary Water Treatment/Distribution Training Course 30 hrs
Advanced Water Treatment/Distribution Training Course 30 hrs

Wastewater Operator Training Course Information (Grades IC, I & II)

Collection & Basic Wastewater Treatment Training Course 30 hrs
Intermediate Wastewater Treatment Training Course 30 hrs

Advanced Wastewater Operator Training Course Information (Grades III - IV)

Collection & Basic Wastewater Treatment Training Course 30 hrs
Intermediate Wastewater Treatment Training Course 30 hrs
