FREE Resources for Alabama Water and Wastewater System Employees!
FREE Reusable Cloth Masks
Each FTE will receive one pack of 5 cloth masks for FREE! These can be washed and reused up to 15 times.
The Alabama Rural Water Association has been working for weeks in order to ensure that our water and wastewater professionals have access to the materials they need in order to remain safe during this time of COVID-19.
The ARWA and its Society of Water Professionals have made available $15,000 for PPE procurement. These items will be made available to systems at no cost depending on need. Many ARWA Associate Members have made additional contributions to this cause and will be listed below once we have a complete picture of the contributions and supplies acquired from that effort.
In addition, the ARWA worked with local AEMA (https://ema.alabama.gov/) partners to acquire 10,000 reusable cloth masks for our water and wastewater full time employees (FTEs).
Finally, EPA and FEMA have made available 50,000 additional reusable cloth masks that, in cooperation with our wonderful friends at ADEM, will be distributed to all water and wastewater professionals throughout the State.
So, how do you access these items?
It is Easy!
- Access the following form: https://tinyurl.com/arwa-free-covid-supplies.
- Fill it out.
- Wait for a response from ARWA.
- Get your stuff!
- Continue the great work of providing the critical water and wastewater services to our Alabama communities in a safe and responsible way.
The ARWA will either schedule a pickup at one of the distribution locations or deliver the resources to you personally.
If you have additional questions about this initiative, do not hesitate to reach out to the ARWA office to get answers to all of your questions. Phone: (334) 396-5511
We at ARWA truly appreciate all of our friends that are assisting with this initiative. Both public and private, this initiative represents the best of our industry and provides evidence that in times of duress, there are those out there who not only pledge to help, but get the job done. We can't wait to provide to your group the tools you need to stay safe while providing the services that all Alabama citizens need each and every day.
